Peter Bjorn And John Orlando Concert reviews
Jackson Goes Political
I respect Mr. John Bjorn Peter and his opinion. I shouldn't have to pay to hear it, but I paid to hear the songs he wrote, that I love and grew up on. I got a first set of songs I've never heard, written by people I never heard of. Ended with a song proclaiming him to be a patriot, where he stated "I might be a socialist" during the song. The second set was similar, songs about walls and dreamers etc. The quality of the music was outstanding, across the board. It just wasn't what I wanted to hear. Thankfully, two encores with "take it easy" and one more golden. No Boulevard or Stay or so many other great songs. He did take a request for some Warren Zevon in the second set. I am thankful for that! With the exception of "Pretender", and a taken request for "Doctor my eyes".. Both of which I am thankful for at that time. That said, I don't feel like I got the show I paid for. I have seen him in concert 7 times. But I paid over $200 to hear some Peter Bjorn And John. That's the last show for me. He did take a request for some Zevon, but I didn't pay for Zevon. But I paid to hear some Peter Bjorn And John. And was filled with a political message. And I have seen him in concert 7 times. The back up singers were also amazing. It lacked a lot of Peter Bjorn And John tunes.
Disappointed!
1. "We left half way through the show, to be honest. Maybe the second half was better? Its a new arena and maybe they are figuring it all out?"
2. "He showed up 1 hour late. The sound was also too low that we could hear the girls behind us talking the whole time."
3. "At first they played hallelujah loud (everyone started screaming because they thought it was him singing) but it didn't sound like him. Then the song was over and then it started up again in the middle of the song (it was taped, I think they were stalling for time)."
4. "There was nothing going on on the big screen and no exciting light show. Every song sounded the same. Its not like me to leave anything early, I usually close the place down but this time we did."
Jinjer!
This was my first visit to the Roxian. Good layout. Great sound. Service was good and drink prices were decent. They absolutely killed it. Kudos to the crowd for excellent pit etiquette. Flawless high energy set. It was also my first time seeing Peter Bjorn And John live. I was in or on the edge of the pit for the whole show. All in all, I can't wait for the next show! One grandpa gripe would be that the custodial staff could have been a lot quicker to take care of numerous 24oz beer spills around the bar area which are safety hazards. It's a cool place.
Best concert I've ever seen KC!
Wow, what an amazing concert experience! The lineup was fantastic, and every performer brought their A-game. Peter Bjorn And John's performance and stage setup really stood out. The pink helicopter and giant walking robot were incredible additions to the show. This was the second time I took my kids to see Peter Bjorn And John, and it surpassed all expectations. The effort and creativity put into this tour were evident, making it a night to remember. It was amazing to see the band interact with the crowd, especially when they came close to our seats. The dedication of the performers and crew was truly commendable. Despite the steep concession prices at the venue, the show was worth every penny. I will definitely seize any opportunity to see them perform again. If you haven't experienced their live show yet, don't wait any longer - you won't be disappointed. Thank you to everyone involved in making this concert a memorable experience for me and my kids.
